The year Twos had a fantastic day today at Creswell Crags and the weather was perfect! We started off the day by perfecting our survival skills by tracking animals, making spears and trying to start a fire. After that we enjoyed learning about the different animals, the cave art and pieced together real skeletons of hyenas, wolves and cave lions, for which we had to wear the special white cotton gloves. After lunch we had to get kitted up with hard helmets and torches and walked down to Robin Hood Cave where our guide led us down a very narrow tunnel into a cold dark opening where a hyena den once was, a cave bear was found and into another section where humans once lived. We learnt so much and can’t wait for you to see the photos!
